The ragdoll cat is a large breed of cat, best known for its sweet temperament.  They have long, thick fur coats.

The body is usually stocky with short legs, and large in size compared with other cat breeds.

It is said to be the worlds largest cat with males ranging 12-20 pounds, and females averaging 10-15 pounds.

The ragdoll is often described as being very "dog-like".  They fetch, come when you call them and love to be around their people!

Clutch: Seal Bicolor Boy from Breckenridge and Tabernash.  ( 1 year old at time of picture)

Our kittens are well socialized, they are raised with kids and dogs!

* Please note these are indoor Cats, they cannot defend themselves.  If you cannot keep them inside, this is not the breed for you.

  Mink vs Traditional

So here's the deal...

Minks and traditional are both pure ragdolls, there are a few differences between them that can be noted.  TICA registered mink ragdolls are a true Ragdoll. Our minks are TICA registered. Minks coats are smoother than the coat of the traditional ragdolls they are even softer than the traditional ragdoll. While some breeders are choosing to work with only the traditional ragdoll lines, more and more ragdoll breeders are falling in love with the lush, dark coats and exotic colored eyes of the mink. Most breeders shy away due to the eyes not being blue, they are aqua.  Similar to hazel eyes in humans, they can vary in shade.

Mink ragdoll kittens are born with color. Traditional ragdoll kittens are born white. When we breed our mink queens to our traditional king, we get some of both in the same litter.  Sometimes we get one in a litter and sometimes we get more than half mink. We never know until they are born. and this is why we think they are rare.

The point color of the mink is much richer and darker than the point color of the traditional ragdoll. Our minks come in seal or blue. Minks also come in all the standard patterns: Color point (no white), Mitted: White mitts on front paws, boots on back legs, white chin and bib, and Bi-color, inverted "V" on face white on all legs, chin and bib. Most minks have a all over color appearance to them.

As far as temperament there is no difference they are all Ragdoll.
